Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection is issuing Requests for Information in order to incentivize new energy generation, and most importantly, new energy storage projects. This new initiative is part of the agreement that Governor Shapiro, along with 12 other neighboring states’ governors, entered into in order to keep energy prices down while dealing with new large energy users such as data centers. This new initiative will streamline application processes and implement other incentives to quickly increase energy supplies.
